Mysore City, one of the historical tourist places in India. Well known all over the world for its rich heritage, culture and tradition. Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) has launched Urban Environment Upgradation Projects under JNNURM with an objective to create economically productive, efficient, effective, equitable and responsive cities. Mysore, is one among the ten cities selected by MoUD, for renewal of urban heritage. City development plan (CDP) for Mysore city prepared by MCC has been approved by MoUD. The project has qualified eminently for funding under Urban renewal – Renewal of Water Supply/Sewerage/Drainage/Solid waste disposal system. Accordingly a Detailed Project Report was prepared by a reputed Consultant and approved by the concerned authorities and is under implementation.
